Because I'm a liar. I'm pretty sure I mentioned that at one point.

So yeah, remember how I was talking about being lazy about everything but my art, the other day? Well, looks like my muse took that to include her as well, and decided our time would be better spent playing Civ V and Minecraft.

On another note, One Piece is awesome, and I love Usopp.

That was nothing compared to FIVE AM.

I had to get up and take my bf to the airport this morning, and I am--I can't believe this--even MORE tired than I was yesterday. Not the tiredest I've ever been, but from a consistent lack of real rest, yeah, this has been pretty nuts. This weekend is going to mean a LOT of lazy.

But not for my art! :3

A cave of wonders!

Among my many media addictions is my like for rewatching animated Disney movies I loved (and completely memorized) as a child. They're amusing and pleasantly nostalgic and all have happy endings--perfect for playing in the background while I'm drawing. I just finished watching Beauty & the Beast this afternoon as I was drawing the first one, and was overcome with a desire to see some other old favorites, like Aladdin and Pocahontas. Now that I have both, I'm chillin' with them while I draw some new stuff. Good times are good.

Unfortunately, I didn't get much of one today, and I'm gonna need to skip to bed soon, which means only one picture this evening, and probably much of the same schedule in the middle of the week like this. I am SO sleepy. I can't stay up until midnight anymore. :C

6 am is NOT my hour

As was proved to me when I got up at 6 am this morning.

So, work started up on Friday, and I learned then--as was made clear to me this morning--that I would be working at 8am on Mondays and Wednesdays. I have not had to work or go to school at 8am SINCE HIGH SCHOOL. Insanity. Utter insanity. It's 9:30 and I'm sleepy. Sleepy and a little ill. I ate too many beans.

Danger! Danger!

High voltage!

Heh, that's such a catchy song. And relevant to my weekend!

So, our landlord decided to fix the house wiring today and yesterday, and for whatever reason, that happened to include continual power outages in our room--and our roommates'--without prior notification. For me, fortunately, this just meant a really annoying noise when my laptop's power switched to battery, but my bf hasn't been able to use his computer for the weekend. It also means that the internet keeps going out, so I can't post up my Gaia avi pictures, or gather the references I need to make more, which means I can't draw more than two a day this weekend, when that's my week-day standard, and that makes me sad. And that battery-switch noise is REALLY annoying.

So now the internet is back and the power is back and I'm posting stuff.

Waffles!

So, the bf and I finally got out that waffle maker his mom gave us for Christmas, grabbed a belgian recipe off the internet, and OMG WAFFLES. They're soooo good! We made a double batch of batter, and we are going to be FEASTING off these things for like a WEEK. It's MARVELOUS.

Of course, I had to spend a few rounds on the DDR mat afterwards. :3
